Leonie, an American trained Drama Therapist (under the tutelage of Professor Pamela Dunne, Los Angeles) is currently a lecturer in Drama in Education and has worked in schools as a secondary teacher for 35 years. She now works in private practice with special needs children individually and in groups, using the unique benefits of Drama Therapy. She tailors interventions specific to the needs of each individual. This method is highly successful in children with Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome and ADHD or those with delayed social skills development. She has recently returned from working in Romania with Professor Sue Jennings (UK) with autistic children in the field of Neuro-Dramatic Play, in which she is a qualified practitioner. She has recently presented at the Expressive Therapies Summit in NYC on her work with special needs children and Drama Therapy.
